Award Guaranteed Synopsis

Here, I will share a short synopsis that I guarantee to be a hit on the film festival circuit for debut filmmakers: The NeoPronouns. Take it, interpret it, remix it, and convert it into a great screenplay. It’s all yours, no royalties are required (mentioning my name when you receive the awards would be nice though).

The NeoPronouns

Camila from Brazil identifies themself as a passionate environmental advocate who protests against deforestation in the Amazon forests.

Dariya from Ukraine identifies hirself as an opponent of pro-Russian policies who led a call to boycott all aspects of Russian culture after the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Melike from Turkey identifies xemself as a feminist who challenges the patriarchal norms in xem country and dedicates xemself to the cause of gender equality.

Samir from Syria identifies verself as a gay individual who resides in Belgium and defends the rights of the LGBTQ+ community after escaping persecution in his homeland.

Lena from Germany, identifies temself as a vegan activist who promotes a worldwide change towards plant-based diets and fights for the cessation of meat consumption.

Camila, Dariya, Melike, Samir, and Lena, fueled by a collective desire for change, decide to make a bold plan that could shake the entire world. Their target is to steal the Mona Lisa painting from the Louvre Museum in Paris and play a political chess game with world leaders. They soon execute the plan with the help of their friend Pierre from France, who identifies emself as a political activist for workers’ rights.

They took and hid the painting in the house of Amina in Nigeria, who identifies zirselft as an anti-colonialist activist. With the stolen masterpiece in hand, they launch a call to action and address the world leaders on social media. They declare their intent to destroy the Mona Lisa unless their demands are met. The shockwaves travel globally and generate a storm of hashtags. Soon, this wave unites all states and civil societies like never before.

What follows is nothing short of a revolution. Governments start to take action, and a domino effect starts for positive change: Environmental preservation increases, the brutal slaughter of animals ceases, gender equality becomes a non-negotiable norm, individuals start to freely express their sexual preferences all over the world, income equality flourishes, colonial countries pay back all the resources they had taken, and geopolitical conflicts find resolution, even Putin reconsidered his stance on war.

The world is reborn into a more compassionate existence. Gratitude floods in for these unconventional activists, all thanks to the power of solidarity. People exclaim in perfect harmony: Long live The NeoPronouns, long live The NeoPronouns…

Last Tips and Tricks

Here are some down-to-earth suggestions for you. Make sure your message is clear, and decorated with socio-political terms (that’s how you show you are a deep thinker). Don’t worry about your filmmaking skills, once you nail the concept of diversity and activism, they will love it even if your work is just mediocre. Most of the festival programmers are basically saints of tolerance in this matter. After all, challenging your incompetence would be like violating the great declarations of inclusivity they proudly preach about. So, go ahead, show them your half-baked talent that they manifestly ask for, and cheers to your future success.
