Works in Progress If I dig someone’s works, I’m all in. I consume whatever they make, and eagerly await their next work. And I hope that just one person following my works feels a similar joy. So, here is a quick teaser about my current projects. In Post-Production Entrecôte is a short observational documentary set in northeastern Turkey, that captures the first hours of Eid-al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, during which Muslims slaughter animals like cows or sheep to consume and share them with those in need. I handled the filming and finished the rough editing, yet I found myself uncertain about finalizing it. Perhaps it requires a bit more marination in its current state. Let’s wait and see what time reveals. In Development Taking cues from British painter William Hogarth’s six-part series Marriage A-La-Mode which illustrates the downfall of a money-driven and socially-influenced marriage, this upcoming film serves as a sequel within the same cinematic universe as my debut A Hero of Our Time (2023). But this time, I shifted my focus from the northeastern corner of Turkey to the southwest shores. Picture a gentle trip to the Lycian Way. Characters persist, stories intertwine, and the screenplay is still a work in progress.
